CAROLYN’S ART STATEMENT:
I am Carolyn, 29 years old, and currently living in my old home Karlsruhe, Germany, after spending a little over 4 years abroad. I‘m an abstract artist loving to play with colors, contrasts, techniques and materials, always eager to try new things and challenge myself.
I have a particular fondness for specific pouring techniques, as they often create beauty from the unexpected and uncontrolled and give me new ways to explore my art. I appreciate dynamic forms and like to accentuate my artworks with metallic colors. While I primarily work on canvas, I also cherish my small paper works.
Each of my artworks tells its own story, inviting the viewer to discover emotions, connect with them, and reinterpret them in their own way. This is why I love abstract art so much. It offers so many possibilities to unfold and let the viewer’s own emotions run freely.
