Bobbin’s Art Statement:
- The day I realized I saw shapes, color, and movement, where others just saw a tree, was the day my artistic spirit was born. My passion is watercolors but I use many other mediums. My art is impressionistic to abstract, but I like to add a touch of whimsy, especially when illustrating children’s books. My subject matter changes, as do my techniques. I love the transparency the glazing technique creates in watercolor, as well as the unexpected creations that happen when the water and the pigment combine to make beautiful mixes and shapes.
