ABOUT SOPHIE:
Sophie Hannah Walker is a Royal Academy shortlisted artist. She creates contemporary, often colourful mixed media canvases . She began her art career in 2000 after graduation and has continued to explore the emotional landscapes alongside ongoing studies intopsychology . A recent development is an enquiry into how art can affect the energy and mood of an environment. Sophie uses colour, symbolism, photography and stitch ; often with beads , sequins and semi precious stones to create and provide artworks which inspire and promote feelings of positivity and wellbeing , as well as spontaneous works of emotional integrity. Originally from South London , by way of Brighton , Manchester, Liverpool and Turin , Sophie now lives on the East Yorkshire coast with her husband , two children and two cats .
