ERNESTO’S ART STATEMENT:
It was the 80s, when handicrafts began to show me the creative path and at the same time, my grandfather’s passion led me to discover the history of art from a more humanistic sense. I began to experiment with different styles and techniques in what I call: Practices for “being” human. Apprentice of Master Rafael Cauduro, with whom I was able to understand and confirm the hypersensitive side of art and the strength of the message. I studied Graphic Design at IBERO, an opportunity that allowed me to experiment with color theory, application of textures, pastes and gradients. My creative side led me to Illustration and Digital Design, giving my senses a more functional approach. After experimenting for more than 20 years with oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed technique; and living with love, pain, sadness and happiness, today I am transparent and vulnerable, leaving my senses on the surface in each brushstroke and each texture…
